I recently read an article in Cosmo about why fast sex is most desirable for some women. Sex, in this context, means intercourse. The article really riled me and this newsletter article is the result.

Now, don’t get confused! Tantrikas (those who practice Tantra) love all kinds of sex: slow, fast, medium, oral, etc. You get the idea. But it seems that some women don’t like long, slow, or fast sex because they begin to lose pleasurable sensation, get bored, or begin experiencing discomfort. We have recently had a couple of women clients with similar issues. So we know Cosmo didn’t just make it up.

So, when someone talks about never having or never liking long sessions with their lover, we know that they know very little about the expanded possibilities of pleasure that the human body can experience.

The Wetness Myth

Getting more specific, I want to debunk the myth of female lubrication and the misplaced importance it’s often given by men and women alike. When a young woman is aroused, there’s a good chance (not 100%) that she will naturally lubricate from the glands at the bottom of the vagina. For many situations, this is enough lubrication for a 10 or 15 minute bout of intercourse. This amount of time is fine for a Quickie and by the way, is the national average time before the average untrained male ejaculates.

However, when you begin to practice Supreme Bliss Tantra, you really want to experience the optimal pleasures of the Yoni (vagina) and the Vajra (penis) for longer periods of time. And of course, we know that for women to orgasm, it almost always takes more than 10 or 15 minutes of stimulation. The average time for a woman to reach orgasm is about 40 minutes.

Back to those counterproductive beliefs. It is a common belief that if a woman doesn’t lubricate, she is not interested in sex or in this specific partner, and/or there is something wrong with her. NOT!!!! As with all declarations about the nature of Shakti (Tantric for woman), nothing is always true. Any given woman can lubricate or not, given other factors. Of course, age is a huge factor. A perimenopausal woman will notice a decline in her natural lubrication. I repeat, there is nothing wrong with her. Many women lubricate very little regardless of stimulation. Other women lubricate copious amounts with very little stimulation. There should not be rules and expectations about natural lubrication.

In keeping with these strange standards, there seems to be a taboo against the idea of using lubricants for sexual play. We want to take firm stand against this misguided notion that extra lubricant shouldn’t be necessary. IT IS JUST FALSE. Back To Long Slow Sex

Back to slow, long sex. The friction of the vajra in the yoni (penis in the vagina) is going to dry out the natural lubrication pretty quickly. That’s just the way it is. If the woman and the man learn to control their energies, as in Supreme Bliss Tantra, they will learn very rapidly that something more is needed. Although saliva can help a little, we strongly recommend that you find a water-based lubricant that you both like and use it liberally. We find it kind of silly that some people give false status to not using lubricant. It can only inhibit your sexual play. Stop limiting yourself any way in bed.

We haven’t even mentioned the use of condoms. When you use a condom, for protection against an STD or as birth control, you must use a water based lubricant. If you don’t, you’ll probably have about 5 minutes of good pumping before the women begins feeling ouchies. This is not what either of you want. Remember, oil will not work with latex condoms as it causes them develop pores. Then the whole idea of protection completely collapses.

There are many wonderful natural type of products available on the market. We were recently in an extraordinary sex store in Reno, Nevada and were delighted to find so many products. You can buy water-based lubricants at most drugstores, at least in California and Nevada. Online your choice is nearly unlimited, but you don’t get to try it or feel it first.

We prefer those water-based lubricants without flavorings because we find the flavorings taste artificial and they get tiresome real fast. Some water-based lubes last longer than others. Everyone we talk to about these have their own favorites.

The Lube Must Please You First

Women, the lube must please you first. Does it feel good inside? I have found some that are irritating to my tissues. Does it taste good for each of you? We love to change around and do different positions and different moves and if you do too, it’s very likely that one or both of you will be tasting this lubricant at some point.

By the way, I’ve recently discovered a new use for water-based lubricant. I like to swab it on Vajra when giving oral sex. This keeps my mouth from getting irritated so I can do it for much longer. This way it gives me more pleasure from the experience. As you might expect, Somraj can’t complain.
